Gianna Commito

Gianna Commito has exhibited her work at Fleisher/Ollman Gallery (Philadelphia, PA), the Akron Art Museum (Akron, OH), the Museum of Contemporary Art (Cleveland, OH), and The Drawing Center (New York, NY) among other venues. Her work will be included in 2018's FRONT International: Cleveland Triennial for Contemporary Art, curated by Michelle Grabner (Cleveland, OH). Commito has participated in artist residencies including the Cite Internationale des Arts (Paris, France), the MacDowell Colony (St. Peterborough, New Hampshire), the Bemis Center for Contemporary Art (Omaha, Nebraska), and Yaddo (Saratoga Springs, New York). She was awarded the Ohio Arts Council Award in 2017, the Cleveland Arts Prize in 2015, and a Pollock-Krasner Foundation Grant in 2004. She lives and works in Kent, Ohio.
